Precision with passion
with the most modern sawmill technology
Bark, chips, lumber – we use the entire tree.
Using modern technology, we process approximately 20,000 m³ of high-quality deciduous wood logs from sustainably managed German forests annually. Each log is carefully cut, peeled, sawn, dried, trimmed, and sorted according to strict quality standards.
Craftsmanship and high-tech go hand in hand: Modern machines make the work easier and experienced employees process each piece of wood with care and respect for the precious raw material wood.
Follow a tree trunk from the roundwood storage to the high-quality lumber!

Delivery & Capping System
State and private forestry operations have been supplying us with their leafy timber for generations, which we inspect and take over together with them. Regional haulage companies take care of delivery.
On the debarking plant, the logs are cut to our standard lengths.Excess or defective stem ends are cut off and sold as firewood.

Debarking
At the debarking station, the bark is ground off the logs. It is suitable for energy production, garden design, or composting. We use the bark to heat our own drying facility, for example.

Cut lumber: Sawing with precision
Here, you’ll find high-tech and a workplace with a gaming factor. The tree trunk is measured and optimally cut with minimal loss using laser and computer control. The modern block band saw is controlled from the cockpit. She saws with a 17% incline and forward and backward movement. Adjusted for single-shift operation, it produces approximately 20,000 fm per year.
The first (bark) cut is fed to the hacker and processed into wood chips. Occurring sawdust is sucked up and carried to the sawdust box. Wood chips like sawdust are reused as by-products.

Drying with a sense
Time and patience are what shape the drying phase of our lumber. The cutting wood is stacked with the suction robot, covered, and carefully dried in the fresh air on our extensive outdoor area – all without additional energy input. Following that, the artificial drying takes place in one of our ten drying chambers, which have a total capacity of 1,000 cubic meters. In these fresh air exhaust chambers, the lumber is evenly dried down to an 8-10% residual moisture content. Experience and regular testing guarantee consistent drying quality and a high-quality, dimensionally stable final product.
The heat for our drying chambers is 100% sourced from our heating plant, which is powered by bark mulch and wood chips. With this regenerative energy supply, we contribute to a sustainable circular economy with extremely short distances.

Final Edges and Lengths
We developed our edging and beveling system in collaboration with a machine and equipment manufacturer. We knew what we wanted, and so the engineers’ solid expertise and our experience created a forward-looking, largely automated sawing and edging system that cuts the largest possible lengths and widths from the cutting boards. Lasers and computer technology support the staff in their work. The trimmed tree edges are collected, cut to stove length, and sold as firewood, and the sawdust also finds its way to the market as wood briquettes.

Quality sorting
Our employees carefully check the quality of the finished cut wood. AA, Cabinet, Rustikal I or II or perhaps Antik? Appropriate features can be recognized and sorted in a matter of seconds. This personal commitment gives our customers the assurance that the desired sorting meets the quality promise. Our logo in different colors makes it easier to identify the items in the shipping hall.

Shipping
Our 1500 square meter shipping warehouse is optimally temperature-controlled and well-air-conditioned. The wood is well sorted: This way, it can go quickly when orders leave our farm.

By-products
Where there’s sawing, there’s sawdust, and not just that: We use 100% of the delivered round timber. Our sawmill by-products: firewood, wood chips, sawdust, bark mulch are also sold from the farm. We also press very heat-efficient fire briquettes from dried sawdust in our own facility.
