We offer a wide selection of native wood species in various grades and sizes – sustainably harvested, precisely processed, and carefully classified according to the needs of our customers. Oak, Red Oak, Beech, Sycamore, Alder or Ash – every wood species has its own story and character. Whether in industry, craftsmanship or design – write the next chapter.

Quality

Our lumber was carefully prepared for further processing. After air drying in our yard the lumber is kiln dried to approx. to 8-10% moisture content, square edged, graded and measured after KD (net tally full to width)

Oak

Oak – Strong in character and versatile

Oak stands for durability and character and convinces with its hardness, stability, and natural beauty – ideal for furniture making, interior design, high-quality flooring, or wood construction.
A material with a history – and a future.

Red oak

Red Oak – warm, lively, elegant

With its distinctive grain, warm, light to reddish-brown color, and open-pored robustness, the red oak, originally from North America, combines natural beauty with good resistance. Our red oak comes from controlled German forestry and has a good ecological balance. We recommend this cost-effective alternative to white oak for interior applications, modern furniture construction, and elegant room design.

Ash

Ash – lively, powerful, authentic

The native Ash tree impresses with high elasticity and durability, making it an ideal material for creating curved shapes. Ash is therefore used not only in furniture making, for stairs and parquet, but also in sports equipment. The light to yellowish-white wood of the Ash is striking due to its lively, colorful structure.
Ash provides energy and dynamism to any interior, offering a powerful, natural presence.

Alder

Alder – warm, gentle, harmonious

The native Alder excels in terms of sustainability due to its rapid growth. The Alder with its warm, reddish-golden color and fine grain is well-suited for building furniture, kitchen furniture, and as veneer wood, and emphasizes naturalness and comfort rather than technical hardness. Alder – a wood that embodies well-being.

Sycamore

Sycamore – light, clear, harmonious

Sycamore is valued for its light color and subtle, calm grain. The hard wood is suitable for furniture and interior design or as parquet and provides clear, elegant surfaces and a timeless, modern appearance.

Beech

Beech – warm, durable, natural

Beechwood has a fine, subtle grain and even, light reddish to rose-brown tones. This classic wood is very hard, robust, and retains its shape well, and is often used in furniture and interior design, as well as for parquet and stairs.

Cut-to-size components

While manufacturing our square-edged lumber, we produce cut-to-size components. Upon request, we offer a wide range of dimensions in all our wood species.

Firewood

Natural energy from wood – sustainable and efficient.

Wood is one of the oldest and most natural energy sources for generating heat, preparing food, preserving food, and creating a sense of security. Wood from domestic forests with responsible forestry is both then and now a sustainable, protecting climate energy source.
The production of high-quality lumber generates so-called sawmill by-products. With full respect of nature and the long life of trees, we use all parts of our grown raw material.

Every Friday, we offer firewood at our sawmill from 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM in private sales.

Briquettes

During the sawing process, we collect the resulting wood shavings and press them into high-quality heating briquettes. Since our sawmill processes only dry hardwood, primarily oak, our briquettes have an especially high calorific value of 5.0 kWh/kg and a long burn time due to the high compression.

HIF Briquettes – vibrant flames and long-lasting embers!

Firewood

Our firewood is created by further processing our dried oak lumber. With a residual moisture of only about 8-12%, it can provide cozy warmth in an environmentally friendly manner and with very good heating values, or be used in a wood or stone stove. We cut our logs to a length of approximately 15-30 cm, suitable for the usual stove sizes.

Log segments

In the first processing step, the logs are cut to length. Heavy defects such as check, splits or rotten parts are cutted off and are sold as fresh firewood. This fresh wood should be seasoned for about two years to fully develop its heating value. For optimal drying, it is recommended to split the green log sections into uniform billets and stack them in a well‑ventilated area. The result is visually appealing firewood with the strong heating performance of hard oak.

Wood chips – naturally versatile and sustainable

Wood chips are an environmentally friendly, regional raw material with many uses. At our sawmill, wood chips are a byproduct of the production of lumber. We chop the first cut of each log into small wood chips.

  • Sustainable fuel: In wood chip boilers or biomass plants, wood chips provide efficient, CO₂-neutral heat.
  • Garden & Landscape: As mulch or paving, they protect the soil, suppress weeds, and provide a natural look.

Wood chips combine sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and versatility—a smart choice for those who value natural and regional resources.

Fine and versatile in use

Wood chips are created in the daily work process of our sawmill at various stations. It is stored dry, then either pressed into wood briquettes, used in the company’s own power plant for heat generation, or offered freely for further use.

The fine sawdust is ideal for:

  • Sustainable energy source for biomass and heating material
  • Soil cover, mulch, or as a component of humus and substrate mixtures in horticulture and agriculture.
  • Barnyard flooring in animal husbandry. The barnyard floors can be cleaned more easily and the shavings improve the barnyard climate.
  • Natural filling and padding material in shipping containers.
  • Raw material for chipboard

If you would like to use sawdust as a material, we would be happy to advise you on quality, moisture, fineness, and availability.

Bark Mulch

The all-rounder for garden design

We collect the bark from our logs and gently reduce it to bark mulch. This creates high-quality mulch that serves the garden and outdoor areas well in maintaining soil quality.
